Squarespace to WordPress

Squarespace's own export moves some posts and pages as plain text and leaves the design behind. Paste your URL and we rebuild the whole thing: sections, blocks, blog, events and galleries, styled the way they are today.

Squarespace questions

Does it work with Squarespace 7.1?

Yes, and with 7.0. Both are built from page sections and blocks, and we map each one to an editable block.

How is this different from Squarespace's WordPress export?

Squarespace's export produces an XML file of some pages and blog posts, with no design, galleries or events. You would still need to build a theme. We rebuild the design, content and URLs together.

What happens to my blog post URLs?

They stay the same. Posts under /blog/ are imported at identical addresses, with 301 redirects for anything WordPress cannot match exactly.

Is converting free?

Yes. Converting, previewing and asking for changes cost nothing. You pay when you launch the site on hosting.

What about my domain and email?

You point your domain at your new server with two DNS records and we check them for you. Email stays wherever it is today because we never touch your MX records.
